Things Daisy needs to know...

I've come to realize that it's up to me and Working Man to shape our daughter into the woman we would like to see her become. Society will have its say, culture will have its say, but our say is the first say she will get. As such, I'm just going to post the ideas, as we get them, of the things Daisy needs to know.

First off, dear daughter, your faith is your most important and valuable virtue. Never lose your faith in the One and Only who is going to watch out for you every second of every day, from your very first breath to your very last. He will watch your heart and protect you, if you'll let Him.

Secondly, never lose the belief in the impossible. When everyone tells you that it can't be done, always believe that it can be done and then see it done. My dearest daughter, miracles happen every single day and they will happen every day in your life. Believe.

Thirdly, your father is color-blind. As a result, you carry the recessive trait for color-blindness. Any son of yours has a 50% chance of being color-blind. When you're old enough, we'll do the Punnett square together and I'll show you how it works. I can't say much about your daughters as I don't know yet who you will marry. I just wanted you to know in advance.
